Supported Independent Living (SIL) provides help or supervision with daily tasks so you can live safely and build independence in your home.
Support can include personal care, dressing, meals, cleaning, laundry and medication assistance, alongside daily routines and skills. Arrangements may include shared workers and overnight support.
Your routines, cultural needs and personal goals guide how support is planned.
We work with you to build skills at a pace that suits you.
Together, we can plan:
Personal care and getting dressed
Preparing meals, cleaning and laundry
Medication support and daily routines
Supervision and overnight assistance
Shared or individual support arrangements
Your choices, culture and independence goals
You stay involved in decisions about your support and how your home life works.
OUR APPROACH
Respectful support. Everyday independence.
We listen to your choices.
We plan support with you, respecting your privacy, routines, cultural needs and what you want to achieve.
We build everyday skills.
We support you to practise daily tasks and take part in decisions, with assistance matched to your abilities.
We adapt as needs change.
We review routines together and discuss changes to your support.
SUPPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Support planned around your needs.
SIL is intended for people who need substantial daily support, including overnight assistance. Your support needs and approved NDIS arrangements guide the discussion.
We consider location, timing, worker skills and whether shared or individual support is suitable before confirming an arrangement.
SIL funds support workers, rather than housing, rent, groceries or household bills. We explain the agreed support before it begins.
