Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is housing for eligible NDIS participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
Depending on its design, an SDA home may include wheelchair-accessible spaces, modified bathrooms, reinforced features or provision for specialist equipment.
Your accessibility needs, preferred location and daily routines matter when considering a home.
Tell us what makes a home feel safe, comfortable and right for you.
We’ll talk with you about:
Access needs throughout your home
Accessible bathrooms and living spaces
Building features and specialist equipment
Living alone or sharing with others
Your preferred location and routines
Your approved SDA accommodation arrangements
You may live alone or share with others, depending on your approved accommodation arrangements.
OUR APPROACH
Practical design. Personal choice.
We start with your needs.
We listen to your housing goals, cultural preferences and the features you need to use your home comfortably.
We consider the whole home.
We discuss how the home’s layout and features fit your daily life and allow your support to be delivered safely.
We explain the next steps.
We clarify the information and arrangements needed before accommodation is confirmed.
ELIGIBILITY & ARRANGEMENTS
Make sure the home and funding fit.
SDA eligibility and funding are decided by the NDIS. We discuss your approved design category, dwelling type and housing needs before confirming suitability.
SDA covers the specialist housing itself. Daily personal support, including Supported Independent Living, is arranged and funded separately.
You will generally contribute towards rent and everyday living costs. Housing availability and an appropriate match need to be confirmed.
